“Prioritize the client’s preference and need” is my motto when it comes to designing or developing. While serving as a Design Lead of Georgia Tech Computer Science organization KCS, I strived to create a logo that can accurately target CS students’ tastes. Utilizing Adobe platforms, I designed a logo with an emphasis on symbols that remind the audience of coding syntax. Color choices were based on the logo of IntelliJ IDEA, a programming IDE used during Georgia Tech CS courses. The images of KCS and IntelliJ are compared back to back here. Viewers were able to immediately build a connection to this logo based on their familiarity with IntelliJ.
